LOOKING FROM THE DARK FINALLY ON IT'S WAY
After three years, and alot of delays, Evul Ded's feature debut, 'Looking From The Dark', is finally on it's way to completion. Evul (Jason Glenn) is overseeing the editing of the film, doing much of it himself. It is directed by Jaci VanHorn, and the music score will be done by fellow Cemetary Recordz Artist, Jon Aaron. The film is hard to label genre-wise, but generally passes as a Supernatural Thriller. Evul and his friend Rob (Robert Eugene) set out to write a story very simplistic in nature, but able to still be scary in the classic sense of The Twilight Zone, or an Alfred Hitchcock film. They purposely avoided the 'buckets-of-blood-technique', in favor of a more old-school type of scary story. The Movie has a lot of laughs as well as drama, which is why, it makes it trickier in being able to say just what kind of film this is, genre-wise. They have expressed that, if you are part of the 'brain-dead-Mtv-now!-now!-now!' viewer demographic, you most likely will not enjoy the film. This film was made for the "thinkers", people who don't mind a slower-paced, more in-depth approach to the Thriller/Horror Genre.
LFTD will hopefully be ready in a few months, and Evul and Rob just hope that people will give it a chance, and just try to enjoy it. -OFG
