Evul & Dirty J's 1st Annual Mortal Kombat Tournament 2014 - Had a Blast!
The first annual MK tournament went pretty damn good; it was alot of fun. We didn't expect a huge turnout, but people showed up, and we had a good time. After some pizza, and Pepsi, the tournament began (since we didn't have a huge turnout, we decided to not charge or play for money.) After several eliminations, it got down to Dirty J and Nick Rodriguez, who had an awesome match, with Dirty J winning 3 out-of-5 rounds. At this point, Dirty J would have moved on to face the other finalist, Evul, but Nick Requested a rematch, and normally under no circumstances would you have one, but since we had an odd number of entrants, and Dirty J essentally got to skip ahead in the tourney, we all put it to a vote, and and agreed on a rematch. This time Nick got the win, and moved on. It was then down to him and Evul, and Nick came out the winner.
He won a bootleg certificate that we had made up lol (hey, it was fresh, nontheless) a Freddy Krueger glove pendant, and a free Video Game-themed tattoo of his choice. Nick was unable to get his tattoo then, but is gonna come back and get the Mortal Kombat Dragon soon (Dirty J also said that Nick's friends could get tattoos as well, for coming out.
We plan on having another tournament soon, and have a lot of good ideas planned. Be sure to be there for the next one!
